Your Codex or Claude Code subscription. Nexus uses the tools you already pay for, and OpenAI or Anthropic bill that usage, not Nexus.

Who Nexus is for
Nexus is for solo developers and small teams who already pay for Codex or Claude Code and use them for real work every day.
If you run coding tasks through an AI tool today, you know the routine: ask for a plan, read it, ask for a review of the plan, paste the corrected plan back, ask for the implementation, ask for a code review, paste the findings back, ask for the fixes, then commit. Every step is a copy, a paste, and a chance to forget where you were.
Nexus does that routine for you, in a fixed order, and shows you each message before it goes out. You keep control of every step, and you keep a record of every step, without carrying text between windows by hand.
Teams of two to ten get the same thing plus one shared way of working: the same six steps, the same review points, the same records, on every task.

What it does
- Runs a coding task through six steps in a fixed order: plan, plan review, implementation, code review, fixes, commit.
- Pauses before each step and shows the full message that will be sent. You can edit it or leave it.
- Lets you pick Codex or Claude Code, the model, and the effort level per step.
- Runs any step in your own Codex or Claude Code window instead, then takes the result back. Useful when a subscription has usage limits.
- Shows live activity while a step runs, warns when a step goes quiet, and lets you stop it.
- Can run an optional check, such as your test command, after a step and pauses if it fails.
- Can run all six steps without you watching, and stops at the first thing that needs a person.
- Keeps a record of every step on disk inside your project: what was sent, what came back, what happened.
- Never commits behind your back. Only the final step commits, and you see it.
